“This book is filled with stoic wisdom, personal testimony, and advice for young people. The language is a bit sophisticated, so I think it would probably be better understood by kids at the older end of the age range given, and those kids prefer to be called teenagers, so I'm not sure the title works for the age group that could best benefit from it. But if matched with the right audience, there are great life lessons.”

“This book was written by a Hawaiian island resident, whose wife died prematurely leaving him with the care of their two young offspring. In this book he provides children with guidance as to how they can be the best version of themselves. Among other things, he lists several desirable traits they should consider cultivating, includes numerous short inspirational quotes (e.g. "What doesn't work leads to what will"), and advises them to avoid negative thought patterns (e.g. "Grudges and grievances fester and ooze, while venom and vitriol poison and putrefy"). Egg-shaped happy faces have been inserted in different areas of the book to keep the mood light. While the book could benefit from some editing, overall I feel it accomplishes its goal of encouraging the next generation to fully develop their abilities so they can have a positive impact on the world around them.”

“Though this there are some things to criticize about this book, such as the messages come off as general and a bit surface level for them to really stick, I came away feeling that this was a personal project from the author who gave a genuine message. And though it does have a bit of a homemade look in certain areas, he put special attention into the formatting details to give the book it's identity. And at the end of the day, I'll take that over the plethora of AI generated books that the industry is unfortunately flooded with these days.”

“I think it is a bold book. Some words seem a little confrontational however I think it is an honest thought provoking read for a young person and I’m sure it could help. Perhaps it’s because it wasn’t the words and book I thought I was going to read with the idea of gifting it to my grandson. I’m not sure if I will gift it to him and perhaps fill that age bracket advertised as a little bit too young for some of the topics in the book. In saying that I appreciate that someone is creating a messaging book for young people to help them guide through the tricky time of adolescence.”
